Meet the filmmakers of the Youth Climate Report, recipient of an Honourable Mention in the 2020 edition of the SDG Action Awards. Since 2011, The Youth Climate Report has been “speaking youth to power” through an innovative documentary format known as a Geo-Doc. This platform uses a Geographic Information System map of the world and geo-locates short documentary films made by the global community of youth based on where their stories take place. The program partnered with the UNFCCC ten years ago and showcases youth-led filmmaking at the COP conferences each year. Today, there are nearly 500 videos in the YCR database and at this session you will see five of the films and meet their dedicated young filmmakers who have contributed to this global, climate action project.
