Host:  United Nations Development Programme

The Skill Set
In this interactive ‘How to’ session, UNDP invites festival participants to take a deep dive into the world of data and learn how to use different types of data, analyses, insights and simulators to accelerate SDG progress in their country contexts. Participants will walk away with the ability to navigate the many functionalities on UNDP’s new Data Futures Platform (https://data.undp.org/) and use the data to conduct their own analyses to inform decision making and programs that help build forward better from COVID-19.

The Opportunity
The interactive Data Futures Platform platform provides unique opportunities for analysis, insights identification and collaboration around an evolving set of relevant topics that anyone can use to make more evidence-based policy decisions or to learn more about a variety of policy areas. Explore what a temporary basic income would cost in your country, assess COVID impacts on education, or delve deeper into visualizations of long-term impacts on poverty.
