Host: CANON
The Canon Young People Programme runs across Europe, Middle East and Africa with the objective to give young people a voice to create a better and more sustainable future by introducing them to the power of creative visual storytelling, aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across EMEA are supported in developing the creative storytelling skills, using visual arts and photography as a simple and engaging path to building the social and creative skills needed to succeed in the workplace and thrive in today’s world. The program focuses on 3 key pillars – to Inspire young people by giving them access to world-class content and equipment, partnerships and creative experiences, to Educate young people on the power of creative visual storytelling and critical thinking about globalised issues, to Empower young people to talk about the issues that affect them through local partnerships, global platforms and personal development.
The Canon Young People Programme Exhibit shows the work and the narratives, created by young people and through partners across the region. Canon South Africa – Wild Shots Outreach. Canon Belgium – Plan International. Canon UK – Ideas Foundation. Canon Spain – Teach For All.
